Does homosexuality go against evolution

[From: ] [author: ] [Date: 11-08-15] [Hit: ]
-I dont think so, homosexuality is change in mid set, if the people change his/her mindset. Their inner biochemical changes will turn them to heterosexuality nature. So every thing is controlled by various regions of the Brain, so it is necessary to control it.......
If so, then how is it possible?

-
Nobody has a clear answer, but a popular one among people who study it is that genes conferring homosexuality (while clearly disadvantageous from a purely evolutionary standpoint to the homosexual individual) also confers advantages to other members of the family. There is some evidence, for example, that among some families with more homosexual members, the women are more fecund (have more kids).

FYI homosexuality is likely a result of several factors: genetics, prenatal environment, and upbringing, particularly in early childhood. There is evidence for all of these, and it varies from individual to individual what the causes are.

If the people think about my words as offense, extremely sorry about it.

homosexuals don't mate with each other and produce more homosexuals. it's a naturally occurring phenomena. it doesn't really matter why or how... what matters is that they are HUMAN BEINGS just like everyone else and deserve to be treated as such.

true, mrjack, you should be able to ask but your question did sound a little suspect the way it was phrased. the thing is there are a few theories but there is no definitive answer.

Homosexuality is not inherited genetically; so it is not related to evolution. It is seen in almost every species of mammal and bird.

-
I could see where gene-environment interaction could possibly have an effect on sexual preference, but not in the way I think you're suggesting. I would say homosexuality is inconsequential to evolution.

-
Oh this is going to sound very sexist but what I think happend is that some chemical reaction happend during evolotion making its own sex preference.
