When technology for genetic engineering becomes advanced enough to be carried out on humans would you improve your kid and how much would you pay for it? I'm talking about enhancing intelligence, immunity to diseases(some people are immune to HIV due to a genetic difference in their immune cells, how cool is that? We could potentially give the immunity to everyone!) ,athletic prowess, beauty or even experiment such as an African child with blonde hair or two hearts just in case one fails.

If the 'tech.' and the trade-offs involved were well understood, I'd certainly
opt for immunities, and elimination of vulnerabilities to cancer, diabetes, etc.
and genetic dieases, (Tay-Sachs etc.)
'Experiments'? - no way.
Care would need to be taken not to eliminate useful diversity.
