Tom say: Telepathy is ONE thing---but Actually Hearing VOICES is symptomatic of serious mental disorders. You never heard of the Crazies who kill people and say "The voices in my head told me to do it"?
Telepathy, when it is reported is more like a "knowing" rather than "Voices"--The latter being "Comic book Sci-fi" READ about real reports and research on Telepathy and see what it really is about (The naysayers here obviously haven't read of any of the research)----AND at the same time , get the Voices thing checked out with a DOCTOR--they can "head off" these mental effects "at the pass", before they become a serious lifelong problem.

Hunter say: Throughout history, every time something new and rare has been seen, or discovered, the majority of people has not believed in it. Europeans thought gorillas were a hoax until one was captured, and even then many morons didn't believe they were real.
If everyone was telepathic, there wouldn't be an issue of doubt. But the fact is, only 1 in every 15 people have psychic abilities-- that's 480 million to just over 1 billion-- out of seven billion or more people worldwide. It's easy for brain dead people to say something isn't real when so few people have psi abilities. And even out of those 12 to 15% telepathy is as scarce as hen's teeth. In over sixty years, I have only met three telepaths. Real telepathic people are like 1 in every 100 million people. There are more telekinetics than telepaths.
No offence, but your mom is ignorant. The great psychologist Sigmund Freud had a telepathic experience with his daughter, and there has been many experiments done by both private scientists and military that confirm that telepathy is real. There is a brain dead guy here who keeps denying the groundbreaking research of Rhine, but there has been many other studies since his by both American *and* Soviet researchers. For instance, can telepathy be used to send messages to deeply submerged submarines.
