There is an actual conspiracy theory going on around YouTube and other sites that NASA is trying to hide the shape of the earth. For what possible reason will they be doing that? If the earth was flat, you would see the sun cycling it from any region using a telescope. the sun cycles the earth on the flat earth...

But Flat Earth is just so ridiculous that it is obviously nonsense. Far more sinister are the whacky beliefs that people have which they support with bogus arguments which to them make sense. These beliefs have no evidence to support them, yet so persuasive are their adherents, and so emotionally invested are those who eagerly partake of these beliefs that even professionals who should know better get sucked into them.
Always demand evidence, strong evidence based on hard data before you take on ANY beliefs, no matter how many movies are made about them, and no matter how much those smarmy faced so-called scientists try to persuade you with their corny cliches.
