kilroymaster say: There is no way that you can officially explain a ghost, But a ghost is an image that the human brain gives off in its effort to survive death........... Now there is no way to explain how or why that happens but the human brains does give off a burst of energy right before that human brain dies...................

Gary K say: It's a good question, and no one here is going to give you a good answer in terms of how ghosts exist. I have the same question - if they exist, what are their properties? All the explanations I hear are pseudoscientific nonsense, like they are "residual energy", which is completely meaningless.
It doesn't matter how many reports there are. The plural of anecdote is not "data". We know humans are superstitious and fallible, and we know there is not a single jot of hard evidence for ghosts. There is no great scientific mystery that requires "ghost" as an explanation.
Perhaps if science and critical thinking education can be improved, we will start moving on from such silly old-school beliefs.

Tom say: Of course, we can explain single witness cases to Hallucinations, imagination, etc. Many Multiple witness cases are based on something with objective reality (People cannot hallucinate the same thing unless we want to introduce Telepathy) These realities may be misidentifications, illusions, of some other , say atmospheric or electric phenomena we do not understand yet Scientifically. Still OTHER "Ghosts", especially the really "Clear", "Solid" ones with period clothing, and even inanimate, could involve NATURAL Higher order Physics Phenomena, such as a "Glitch" in Space Time through which we might SEE a LIVING person in a PAST time. The latter theory would explain "ghosts", clothes and all, without having to invent "Spirits"---things like a an Einstein Rosen bridge would look identical to reports.
