I Read an article on Yahoo! saying 3 people die because of this!! The parasite Entamoeba histological..ARE IN WATER! Now I'm scared of water..no joke..Is this true? How likely is it, that this will happen to me??

Entamaoeba histolytica mostly just causes really bad diarrhea, and it is treatable. You are probably thinking of Naegleria fowleri. It's quite rare. Or rather it is quite common, but nearly all exposed people avoid getting sick from it. However, if you are worried about it, swimming is still safe provided you take the following precautions:
Don't swim in warm or hot water lake water, particularly not if it is stagnant.
Wear noseplugs while swimming.
Don't drink stagnant water.
EDIT: Those are good precautions to take in any case, even without Naegleria.

Sounds like it's a lot safer than crossing a suburban street in the middle of the night! Or flying an airplane between cities.
I guess you're better off staying at home, sealing all the windows and doors, just in case Mr Amoeba gets you!

I live in Va dont worry bout it Yahoo just wants to scare people to check out their articles their titles are very misleading and their stories are in comparison to fox news

It is extremely rare. 3 or 4 people a year die from it. Not exactly an epidemic. Don't swim in warm fresh water.
