Haunted or crazy? Please help.

Alright, I've lived in this house for about five to six years now and nothing like this has ever happened to me; I was taking a shower at around ten o' clock at night one day when my sister comes in with my other sister and claims she saw small white shoes under the bedroom door. I told her it was nothing, but then we heard sounds like cupboards opening and closing and I got scared and locked us in the bathroom since the sounds came right from the hallway leading into the bedroom (which had the door open, hence why I locked ourselves in the bathroom). I don't know what to make of this, since I heard friendly spirits don't really scare you since they usually are there to roam around and possibly help you, but I was frightened. Could it be some kind of evil dwarf spirit? I'll explain further to clear up why I would think it's a dwarf spirit.

I have a house in another country and it is very spiritually active. Lights go on and off occasionally, doors are left ajar, shadows move around, reflections are seen, things are moved around, but nothing really bad has happened that has caused any of us harm so we just leave the spirits be. My grandma has claimed to have seen a little spirit with the feet of a chicken walking by her bed and out the door. She also said it had a knife and was wearing a sort of hood. I imediatelly thought it was death since the hood and all, but I am not sure. There have also been other things like the baby of the family that lives with us appearing near the washing machine in the back of the house where the other child of the family had been playing with toys that no one had known they had.

On another occassion, a bloody footprint appeared on the wall of the dining room in the same house in another country. The main part of the foot is long and thin, the toes are freakishly small, I don't know what to make of it since we all know no one was in the dining room to do such a thing.
