Why is there certain days in months-why is there hours or seconds-why is there 7 days in a week-why do we have Monday, Thursday, etc?

A lot of it is due to historical reasons. Why are the 5280 feet in a mile.
But a lot of those are due to natural events we see around us. The day, month, year are all natural times, the time from sunrise to sunrise, the time for the moon to go from full back to full, and the time for the seasons to cycle.
So we are stuck with about 30 days per month and 365.24 days per year.
The hour is an arbitrary division steeped in history. As is the second and hour and week.
But a lot of those are due to natural events we see around us. The day, month, year are all natural times, the time from sunrise to sunrise, the time for the moon to go from full back to full, and the time for the seasons to cycle.

that is because the earth rotates to give us day and night and so we have days, a month is a duration where the moon completes one cycle, a year is because earth revolutes around the sun during it and changing seasons....that is about it for cosmology
Weekends are there for us to rest and not lose it.
Hours, minutes and secounds are human made to have an established system on when they do things together, otherwise we can't know when is the next episode of our favorite show.

because it makes life 1 million times easier. think about it. say you wanted to go to the cinema with your friends, how would you arrange it with out having a time, day and week?

Silly bt interstinng coz hours,days, week.... Etc make up a one whole year..
