Okay, so I have the % composition of copper in the post - 1983 pennies. It is 2.5%. How do I calculate the percent error for each penny?

>100% = Pure
Assay Percent = Test Percentage
let's just be clear here, I give an example:
If pennies are 2.5% copper and you assay (test them) and find they are 2.4%, what is the % error in analysis:
2.4/2.5 x 100 = 96%
100% pure - 96% = 4% error
Assay Percent = Test Percentage
