matrix R(1 -2) and T = matrix (-2 1)
(3 p) (q .5)
If matrix T as the inverse of matrix R, find the values of p and q.
please dont wite the answer plainly steps will be helpful
i know how to find determinant and steps to find inverse
i dont want to jot down anwers on my hw but i want to learn how to do it not just answers.
thank you

RT=I (since T=R⁻¹).
RT=[-2-2q 0 ] =[1 0]
[-6+pq 3+5p] [0 1]
So -6+pq=0 and -2-2q=1,
giving p=-6,q=-1.
