Please Help Me Solve a Trig. Equation

x-1 = sin 30 degrees =0.x=1.......
I need to solve the following. The answer should be 3/2, but I am not able to get that...

2sin^-1(x - 1) = pi/3

sin^-1(x-1) = pi/6 = 30 degrees
x-1 = sin 30 degrees =0.5
x=1.5
I think you may have confusion between (sinx)^-1 = 1/sinx and sin^-1(x) = inverse sinx
sin^-1 (x) means the angle whose sine is x
