When you boil water, where does the air that make the bubbles come from

[From: ] [author: ] [Date: 11-11-26] [Hit: ]
there are bubbles (many of them) which form before the water boils. These tiny bubbles are from the atmospheric air dissolved in the water. As a liquid gets hotter, the solubility for dissolved gases goes down. So, as the water heats up (but well before boiling),......
The bubbles aren't air at all. They are made of steam, the gaseous form of water which forms at the bottom of the heated container. When the water molecules get hot enough, they have enough energy to separate from each other, forming steam bubbles which rise and pop at the surface, releasing the steam. It has nothing to do with hydrogen and oxygen gas. Water won't separate into those gases until it gets way hotter than 100 C.

Thin Man has the answer you want to remember.

In addition, as you heat up the water, there are bubbles (many of them) which form before the water boils. These tiny bubbles are from the atmospheric air dissolved in the water. As a liquid gets hotter, the solubility for dissolved gases goes down. So, as the water heats up (but well before boiling), the dissolved air is driven out.

It's allready in the water, the air bubbles form from the Hydrogen/Oxygen (from which water is made from).. Hope i helped.

Just to clarify, the bubbles are not formed from the air outside, its allready in the water..

The water at the bottom, gets really hot and turns into vapor, this vapor rises as its hotter than the rest..

I hope you understand what i mean lol, :D

What happens is that the water on the bottom of the pan evaporates, turning into vapor (basically air) and then rises because it is hotter than the rest of the water.

-
it comes from the water.

Is this an honest question???
