3x+10=x. I'm usually good at these but this one completely confused me thank youu! (:

The Steps:

=>3x+10=x
=>3x-x=-10
=>2x=-10
=>x=-5

2x+10 = 0
Subtract 10 from both sides:
2x = -10
Divide 2 into both sides:
x = -5

3x + 10 = x
x - 3x = -2x.
3x - 3x = nothing.

10 = -2x
-2x / -2 = x.
10 / -2 = -5.
______________

x = -5

ok- so you should subtract 3x from both sides so you end up with 10=-2x. then divide -2 by both sides and you have -5=x. hope it helps! :)

10/-2 = -2x/-2

x = -5

3x+10=x
-3x. -3x
10=-2x
/-2
x=-5

2x = - 10
x = - 5
