Cortisone Injection - Would I be able to work after this

[From: ] [author: ] [Date: 11-11-26] [Hit: ]
Just be careful not to overdo it with exercise because you feel better, which could aggravate whatever may be wrong with your hip.......
I have receiving a Cortisone Injection in a few weeks, I am worried as I'm uncertain as to how much time-off I will need to take from my work afterward, I work in a Hotel as a Supervisor and alot of moving around is needed for this job, anyone know how long it would take after receiving the shot before I could go back to work? If there is any waiting time at all. Thank you!

You can go back to work after you get the injection and will probably feel much better than before the shot. I've had a few cortisone injections into joints including one less than a month ago into my shoulder joint. The injection is actually cortisone combined with a local anesthetic, usually lidocaine. And they use an extended form of lidocaine, which brings you not only full pain relief from the injection as well as instant relief of the pain in your hip, and the relief usually lasts until the steroid (cortisone) kicks in.

I felt MUCH better when I left the doctor's office than when I went in. Just be careful not to overdo it with exercise because you feel better, which could aggravate whatever may be wrong with your hip.
