-because people are darkest at the equater and the farther north or south they went, the paler they got.......

In climates with less sunlight, people with lighter skin have a survival advantage because they need less sun exposure to produce enough Vitamin D to survive. These people were better able to survive and mate and pass on their light skinned genes.

It is very logic.

The Sun made us originally like that.
Beings who are never exposed to the sun begin to have a 'white' appearance (White tigers(YES! they're in India but they come from Russia), white bear, ect..white humans)
The more the spots on Earth catch the light, the more the beings have their melanine more active, and gives a more Brown appearance.

It happened that humans decided to go a bit everywhere, migrated where they were not suppose to, where there is no Sun: The skin became white(technically transparent).

So Sun and climates influence our shell, some humans will have more body hair than others, some humans will be more depressed than others.

Sun is influencing everything.
