I'm looking for a special date night for my husband and we both love looking at stars. We are new to Washington State, so I'm not sure what parks are open late and offer a nice view. We are in the Seattle area, but I'm willing for drive for up to two hours if needed.
Any ideas?

You might want to contact any of the local astronomy clubs in the Seattle area to see if they are holding any public star parties soon. They can aid you in finding decent dark sites.

And here's a list of places around the state that are either observing sites or club locations. With weather and seeing conditions -

Check with the staff of the planetarium at the Pacific Science Center in Seattle. They will know all the good places, the legal places, and even any that are both.
