Why is that we haven't come back to the moon since 1969

aliens.... maybe but for me its cuz bro its toooooooooooo much $$$

So far, the Moon isn't worth the money and effort and risk to send someone there and back. Face it, it is a stupid ball of dust. We don't have the technology to live there yet, and even if we did, it's still a debatable enterprise to even be there.

I'm all for science and discovery and am not one to whine about taxes, but the Moon is a very disappointing place.

So far, Mars is too.

What we need in space to live somewhere in space (beyond Earth) is a job. We haven't yet discovered a job to do in space besides look around scientifically. Could we get valuable raw materials in space? Does the lack of gravity or air afford some manufacturing advantages worth the shipping back? Hopefully we will figure out a job sometime, so we must continue to explore, but not necessarily back again and again to collect some gravel and dust.

For centuries people believe the moon was made of cheese. in 1969 NASA sent astronauts to the moon. The found nothing there but rock and dust. We haven't gone back since.

The space race was politically motivated. Without the challenge from the Soviet Union there is no need to prove our space superiority. Unless there is some practical reason to go to the moon, it will remain an uninhabited, desolate ball of rock.

The US landed 12 people on the Moon between 1969 and 1972, at which point everyone was bored of watching it and the money got redirected elsewhere. The Moon program was never about science, it was about politics. If it had been about science, we'd probably still be going. But it's about money.

Im saying because of money and some other stuff like safety ect... and probally the ISS But we will go back to the moon around 2020 nasa right now is building and testing a rocket to go back to the moon but this time they will make a permanit labatory.
