Earth is in space but you can hear it because you are on it and sound travels through matter. If you were in the vacuum of space you cant hear it, of course. If you were in the sun, and able to withstand its heat and live and everything, you would be able to hear it?......
I was speaking with my brother and my father and I randomly asked "If you were to be able to hear the sun, how loud would it be?" and they replied "You could not hear the sun because it is in space". I know it is in space so you can't hear it in the vacuum but if you were to be near the matter of the sun (In it and no longer in the vacuum of space), you would be able to hear it, right? No, I don't mean that any human could possibly withstand the heat of the sun or live on the sun, but if you were on the sun you would be able to hear it. My brother continues to say that he's right because you can't hear in space. Earth is in space but you can hear it because you are on it and sound travels through matter. If you were in the vacuum of space you can't hear it, of course. If you were in the sun, and able to withstand its heat and live and everything, you would be able to hear it? Also how loud would it be?

Again please don't answer "You can't be on the sun because you would die" or "The sun is in space therefore you can't hear it" because that's not what my question is.

Yes, you'd be able to hear it. In fact, you'd *start* to be able to hear it about the time you hit the outer corona - figure, up to a million miles out from it's surface. It would start as a gust of wind, which would get louder. By the time you got to the surface, the solar atmosphere would be far denser than Earth's, and the noise would be deafening - and coming from everywhere.

There are vibrations in the Sun that are like sound, but I believe they are very low frequency. A very DEEEEP sound that people couldn't hear.

You can hear so long as there is a medium to hear through. Vacuum is useless but as soon as there is a dense enough gaseous medium then it would begin to be audible and you'd get that as soon as you got to the corona. It'd not sound very interesting, just an endless deafening white noise.

Astronauts figured a way in space to have private conversations that they didn't want mission control to hear. They would touch their helmets together and the sound waves of one speaker would travel through the glass of both visors and be audible to the listener.

"Deafening" is an understatement. It amounts to over 130 dB sound intensity, continuously. Probably not quite enough to rupture your eardrums, but pretty close. And that's not counting the heat, or explosions that happen fairly often.
