Use the quadratic formula 36x^2+24x=7

with 36 as a, 24 as b, and -7 as c.x = -24 +- 39.x = -63.8 / 72 = - 0.......
I got most of the work done but the ending is messing me up and different from what my book says. Can someone write it out?

-
Isolate "0"; move everything to one side so that the equation is equal to 0.
36x^2+24x-7=0.
Now plug it into the quadratic equation, with 36 as "a", 24 as "b", and "-7" as c.
x=(-24+/-√(24^2)-(4*36*-7))/2*36
x=(-24+/-√(576+1008))/72
x=(-24+/-12√11)/72
x=(-1/3)+((√11)/6) or (-1/3)-((√11)/6)

-
36x^2 + 24x = 7
36x^2 + 24x - 7 = 0
D = b^2 - 4ac = 576 + 28(36) = 1584

x = -b +- sqrt (D) / 2a
x = -24 +- 39.8 / 72
x = -63.8 / 72 = - 0.88611
or x = -24+ 39.8 / 72 = 0.21944
