So everyone is saying the end of the world is going to happen or begin to happen on December 21st 2012. But does anyone think about this....we invented leap year to make things work with out calendar to the moon i think, But none the less leap year is around and and we have one extra day every four years? Does anyone think about this. And our years and Mayan years are different lengths too, so if it does happen, it would be 75-100 years off. Is everyone ignorant or do they not critical think.

Seriously, only God knows when the world will end. Don't fret with these stupid calculations. It's not worth your time and effort. Live everyday like it's your last. Be happy you're alive and healthy right now at this moment. & even if it did happen, what are you gonna do?

The Gregorian calendar was proposed by Aloysius Lilius, a physician from Naples, and adopted by Pope Gregory XIII in accordance with the instructions from the Council of Trent (1545-1563) to correct for errors in the older Julian calendar. It was decreed by Pope Gregory XIII in a papal bull on February 24 1582. This bull was named “Inter Gravissimas” after its first two words.
It took time to switch to the new calendar. The following list contains the dates for changes in a number of different countries: ..."
