What invisible force is there pushing apart galaxies, making the universe larger, and beating gravity

According to most mainstream scientists the universe is actually expanding (plenty of evidence to prove so). So what force is doing this? If the universe wasn't expanding then all the galaxies and all matter would come to the center of the universe and the universe would collapse in on itself. So since the universe IS expanding there HAS to be a more powerful invisible force than gravity doing so, so what is it? O_O

Dark Energy.

We don't know. Or in otherwords, we don't exactly understand it as a force.

The essential idea is not that the objects are actually moving apart due to the history of forces, but rather that space itself is being created.

We give a name to the source of energy allowing this to happen as "dark energy", but we know nothing about it other than how much of it there is.

Nobody knows and I believe that we may never know for sure. The universe is so enormous and this creation is so wonderful and we've come a long way but I think we haven't even completed half-way of exploring our universe. This "force" is described as "invisible" and it may sound hard to believe but I think it's God expanding our universe.

depends on which theroy you believe, big bang causes " space" to expans which has no mattee therfore can more faster then the speed of light and will never be caught or seen because all things in space have matter which cause resitance therefore cannot possible move faster the rhe spees of light and this has been travling since the dawn of space and time so we cannot even determine or comprehend where space ends

Your probably mean what's increasing the expansions speed which would be dark energy and matter according to our scientists best theories,but the cause of the universes expansion and the distancing of galaxy's is simply inertia caused by the big bang which gave them the initial "push"

Black energy.

The force that is expanding the universe is called DARK ENERGY. Not much is known about it other than that it exists.

Scientists do not have the answer yet but they calling that force dark energy.
