why does jupiter has huge hurricanes??

Jupiter is a really big planet. At the center down deep is a small rocky core. Silica minerals, iron, nickel, very hard to tell. Some of the rock was there from the formation others accumulated from asteroid and meteor collisions. There is a very deep ocean of liquid hydrogen deeper than you can imagine. On top the liquid hydrogen is similar to what you can make on Earth in a chemical lab or factory. The liquid hydrogen becomes more dense. At the very extreme depths the liquid hydrogen is so dense it begins to be metallic. It conducts electricity and acts as a dynamo generating current and a massive magnetic field.

It has a red spot. Is that a storm of burning gases? Could they possibly go down into the planet?

Its a gas giant so it has a rocky core...but the entire (almost) is made up of gasses. And it has hurricances because it has...Wikipedia it!
