Can anyone identify this spider

My friend has this spider in her room. It's very big, and quite unusual. Any help on identifying it?

This is certainly a cobweb spider, possibly a false widow.(steatoda nobilis)

it almost looks like a black and yellow garden spider. i used to see them in the woods all the time when i lived in Connecticut, but I've never seen one inside before.

Looks like a male Black Widow or a False Widow that's been spotted in and around England!
