This may sound like a weird question but hear me out. From what I've learnt is that whenever lightning strikes, mass amounts of nitrogen is released into the atmosphere. And as oxygen is one of the major elements in the atmosphere, wouldn't the two elements combine to make the solution Nitrous Oxide? (AKA laughing gas?)

Our atmosphere is 78% nitrogen and about 20% oxygen if that were possible I believe we would all be laughing all the times, although it was nice thought.
