how old were you when you were interested in space?

Nothing MADE me become interested in space.I just never lost my NATURAL curiosity about the world and Universe around me. EVERY little kid has that natural curiosity. Most scientists never lose that curiosity. They just learn how to focus that curiosity as they get older Their curiosity doesn't get complety drowned by peer pressure, cynicism and life experience in grade school and junior and senior high school.
You may want to rephrase your question. If jelousy of some one else MADE you interested in sopace, or you had a role model that just increased your curiosity like I did , even if that role model was a fictional character in a TV serires like mine was (Mr. Spock, combined with real life father and mother), that's fine.

I was five years old when I looked up at the moon and stars and started wanting to know more about things.
I'm now 72 years old and have worked for NASA on problem solving, I started and astronomical group several years ago, it's name is the kentuckiana-astronomical-society@yahoogr… we set up viewings for schools and scout groups plus the general public.
We have a mobal observarory along with a 12" Meade LX200 GPS computerised telescope the mobal observatory has it's own generator to operate the computers and the projector that projects the images the telescope is pointed on they get to see the items about 50 times larger than the image on the computer screen.
Most astronomy groups set up a telescope and the people have to stand in line to get a few second view, the way we are set up every one can view at the same time.

That sense of not knowing anything about it. Everything in space is a mystery, and the idea of it is almost...scary, but in a good way. Everything about it seems like an adventure and I think that, to me anyway, It will never lose that sense of making you want to explore it deeper and learn more about it.
