.. Can anybody help me in seeing what i did wrong? thanks-3 - √49 = 3-7 not 3+7-The square root of 49 is 7. What you forgot was that once you figure that out, there is a subtraction symbol in front of the expression.......
(√3-√7)(√3+√7)
i simplified it further to:
√3^2 +√21-√21 - √49, then,
3 - √49,
giving me an answer of 10 but, that is incorrect... Can anybody help me in seeing what i did wrong? thanks

The square root of 49 is 7. What you forgot was that once you figure that out, there is a subtraction symbol in front of the expression. You added 3 and 7 instead of subtracting 7 from 3. Your answer should be -4.
