my granddaughter has had pneumonia for a week now... I would like to see her in the next few days but since I am a senior citizen I am concerned about my own health.. can you please advise ?

Better to avoid her until she is completely well. But if you must, be sure to wear a mask and wash your hands often. Pneumonia is more serious among seniors as their defenses are already compromised. Good Luck.

Pneumonia is just a common cold that progresses and leads to fluid build up in the lungs to filter out the bacteria. You have no higher chance of getting sick from her then you do sitting next to someone who sneezes. Just wash your hands often.

Depends on what caused the pneumonia and how long she has been on anti-pathogen therapy. Have her mom ask the kid's doctor.
