Atheists: do you know that you contradict yourself?

[From: ] [author: ] [Date: 17-06-12] [Hit: ]
Its according to the scripture... Of this Words being forever do men prove to be uncomprehending, both before they hear and once they have heard it. For although all things happen according to this Word they are like the unexperienced experiencing words and deeds such as I explain when I distinguish each thing according to its nature and declare how it is.......
say: Please see Saint John 1:1-2

No... It's according to the scripture... Of this Word's being forever do men prove to be uncomprehending, both before they hear and once they have heard it. For although all things happen according to this Word they are like the unexperienced experiencing words and deeds such as I explain when I distinguish each thing according to its nature and declare how it is. Other men are unaware of what they do when they are awake just as they are forgetful of what they do when they are asleep.

iCanHelpSome say: "So, in fact you should not be atheists but agnostics. That will make more sense to us."

- So it sounds like your biggest concern here is what label to use for us? You know, most of us (theists included) are agnostic, right? Agnosticism is a position on knowledge, while (a)theism is a position on belief.

Again, probability =/= belief, regarding your prior question. I guess you didn't fully understand that from the answers. Life exists on this planet...there are an amazing amount of other planets...ergo, life existing on other planets is probable. However, I won't believe that life exists elsewhere until we can prove that it does. You see the difference between probability and belief now?

And I have to ask..."An analogous reasoning can be made to determine God exists based on OBSERVATION"....what reasoning is that then? We have observed life existing here (and I believe on Mars as well) but have not observed any god interactions. So, what, exactly, is your analogous reasoning for god?

Reynaldo Weeks say: You still can't prove God exists so it doesn't really matter.
-
mark say: I know that the stories about wizards are not true, and for the same reasons I know that the stories about gods are not true.

Nothing indicates that there is or was magic in this world. Whether you call your magic god or by any other name makes no difference.

I do not see how you observed a god anywhere in the universe.

Giselle Gewelle say: You are so borrrrring
-
GodsLOL say: No. We have observed life on Earth, but have not observed any gods, ever.
