Life exists on Earth so it life may exist on other planets is a plausible statement because the only change is the planet in question. There is nothing special about a planet that cannot be replicated to within a reasonable amount of error
Life exists on Earth so a supernatural deity exists is not as plausible because whilst the planet is the same, the type of life has changed and this is a massive difference.
Whilst your point about atheists being agnostic due to lack of evidence has some backing, so does the statement theists are agnostic due to lack of evidence. This makes agnosticism a rather pointless category.
I did read your previous question and on the whole it was badly answered but aliens probably aren't too different to our life forms whereas God would be very different indeed. I know there's the "made in God's image" argument but how similar are you to your image, your photograph? The similarity is only skin-deep.
