Noah say: Consciousness probably doesn't reside at the cellular level, but rather at the quantum level....when you 'die' your consciousness still exists though how 'you' react to the physical world at the macro level is a monster of a mystery. Given the possibility of existence at the quantum level no 'brain', which is cellular, is required. Basically you are a 'ghost' at the macro level, but exactly what you are at the quantum level can only be conjecture. Chances are you create your own 'reality'...like a video game.....I see a speculative fiction novel here for anyone who wants to run with this.

Neither of you are "solid" or "real" relative to each other, because key elements of your particles attributes (like frequency or polarity) don't match. You both may be just as real in the absolute sense, but not real to each other in the relative sense.
What is "solid" matter is relative. Subatomic particles are NOT little "hard" BB's, but rather waves that interact or don't. Entire universes may share the same space, just as many radio waves can share the same air. Shed the 19th century concept of "solid Physicality"
