Gary K say: True believers will tell you that consciousness survives death, so a physical brain is not required for a ghost to think or move its non-physical body, which is "residual energy" or some such pseudoscientific nonsense. Or perhaps they'll invoke quantum physics... In any case, there is no evidence whatsoever for ghosts, despite centuries of modern science. So it's an irrelevant question if you are seeking a real answer.

English Guy say: You seem to be mixing up spiritual and physical planes. When you use a remote control car, it will drive around corners and race on a track without crashing. It will also stop on the finishing line after the correct number of laps. It has no brain. It has been suggested that we are still in spiritual form now and are controlling our bodies in a similar way as the car. When you hear that voice in your head, you are hearing a voice without any help from the ears or brain. People have reported exactly what happened in operating theatres when they were dead. Although no brain activity was being recorded, the patient has still repeated conversations that took place. A dead brain with no activity yet a person still seeing and hearing what happened without eyes or ears.
One blind person who had been blind for a number of years was announced dead on the operating table. There was no brain activity at all. After a few minutes, he was brought back to life. Even though brain dead he told the doctors word for word what was said. He also described what they looked like and told what signs on the wall had said. He could see without earthly eyes. Upon waking up he could still not see through his blind eyes but had perfect vision when he was brain dead.
