One possibility: your outer waking conscious understands profoundly it's cessation at passing on. Perhaps it realizes this in its nightly "passing on" into sleep.

Personally, it isn't scary for me either. I know what comes after this life, and that helps me to be "ready"...anytime my maker calls me home. Of course I don't WANT to die yet...but I'm not afraid of it. Don't think about it. You'll drive yourself crazy. Enjoy your life now...knowing that it will only get better. Good luck to you....

cuz u dnt know where the f ur gonna go. If u believe in god, you do not know for sure if you will go to heaven you just believe you will, if you aren't you dont know if you will just cease to exist and how that will be like or if you'll go to hell

it's scary because people don't know what happens when they die. some people are ready to die because they are sure that they know where they're going when they die.

most people get scared about things they lack knowledge on. If they learn what happens after death, it may not be so scary.
