1.) Should we be genetically modifying our food so we can create more & healthier amounts of it?
2.) What can/will you do from a local perspective to support your answer?
3.) Do you think using GMO's in the future to feed our exploding population? If not what are the alternatives?
Please be detailed/explain! Thank you, I really appreciate it!

1. No we should not modify our food as quickly as we do. Human enzymes are designed to work on specific substrates. When we alter the biochemical composition of our food sources, we may find that our bodies do not recognise the new substances and may treat them as harmful substances.
2. Locally persons should purchase fresh foods rather than GMO imports ( whether cross state or international)
3.Better land , natural resources and population management would allow future populations to be well fed on natural products. The fact that there is rising obesity in the developed world and increasing starvation in the undeveloped/third world, indicated that it is more a matter of unequal distribution rather than overall shortage.
Happy Studies.
