Describe how to graph 3x + y ≥ 9.

1.2. your y intercept is 9 so place your first point on the point (0,3.4. now to graph that,......
Include on where/how to shade

I'm confused about this, could you please help me?

-
first put into y=mx+b form
1. subtract the 3x to get it to the other side
y= -3x+9
2. your y intercept is 9 so place your first point on the point (0,9)
3. now you have your slope which as you must have learned is m (when speaking about y=mx+b) so your slope= -3/1 (we can put it over one because it means the same thing)
4. now to graph that, from your y intercept simply go down 3 (because its negative so you go down) and to the right one

This is equal to y is greater or equal to 3x+9
so you draw the graph of y=3x+9 solid because of the "equal to" and you shade the graph whose coordinates are greater than 9
