Is 2012 really going to happen

is the world really going to end in 2012? i hope not! i just want information about this if its true or not.

Haha no, the world isn't really going to end. The story is that there were some ancient Myan calendars that ended in the year 2012, so everyone decided that's when the world will end. If those calendars even exist, my guess is that's when they got sick of writing dates. But people like having conspiracy theories or end of the world catastrophes to keep life interesting. And there are some people who actually believe it. But it's not real.

My answer to this comes from the reasoning why Y2K was also a conspiracy theory...
There are 24 time zones... The world can't end on one specific day, because somewhere in the world, it's already a different day.

Yup, in about 16 days. End? I'd say the answer is "unlikely", but why don't you read up on it and decide if the story sounds plausible to you?

Nope in the Bible it says tht no man knows when the end of the world will be so God will probably pick a day that no one expects...it would be funny if the movie came to life though

Just because the Mayan's calendar stopped in 2012 doesn't mean much for us. It was just an interesting date because it was the end to their base system for years.
