What was the way that the world was suppose to end? Like a meteorite hitting earth's surface, bombing, what

Just wondering, I don't really believe but I heard people have been saying that the world will end in 2012... what way was it suppose to happen?

There's really quite a few different beliefs. Many believe the world will end in 2012 just because the Aztecs or Mayans (don't remember) calendar ended this year. Some people believe many natural disasters will occur before the end of the world. Some believe massive wars and nuclear warfare will end it. There's even some that believe a worldwide disease will kill everyone. Some more scientific beliefs are that the world will go out of orbit (from multiple reasons) and the world will either freeze or burn. The Christian faith believes that Jesus will come back and take his followers with him. Then he will create a new earth. I'm not sure how the earth will be changed/destroyed when God makes a new earth, since it's not exactly clear.
As for me, I'm going to have to say that I believe that it's unclear and that it's up to God, since it only makes sense there is God who created it. There's no way I feel that the earth and life all happened from a big bang and came out of no where. Life and reproduction is just too complicated for it to come from no life at all really.

That is a mystery, anybody knows that, but what i really know is that world after Dec 2012 is going to change people mind,,, because people and science and Maya studies says and proves that something is going to happen but other group of people( specially religious) doesn't believe in that :/ and believe that God is the only that knows when the world is going to end

Since the Mayan calendar doesn't go past 2012 or something people freak the F#@! out..
