Why is death so scary

This is what makes life so unique. That we can live and be aware of our mortality as well as those around us. It's that it is a great unknown what lay ahead is what may be the biggest part that is of concern for many. That and having to say goodbye to those we love and have become a part of our lives. Some feel that life is a part of a greater cycle and after we leave here we transition into another aspect of this cycle.. With such activity by ghosts and spirits this would seem to have some validity, that they could be an anomaly in this cycle. Many individuals who have near death experiences have similar descriptions of what lay just on the other side. From seeing a great light to seeing past family and friends as well as pets, many individuals have seen these things. The answer is we just are not certain what is going to happen to us. We do not exactly know what becomes of us. I do personally believe that there is something more to this existence. That there are just too many things that point to something greater. Everyone will be a little afraid in their lives of going through death and this is natural, I would recommend finding something that inspires you and gives you a sense of purpose as well as reminds you you are alive and special. Death is scary because humans cannot begin to comprehend how it is like to one day be gone and not be able to feel, percieve or do anything, If you have spiritual beliefs, that might help. A lot of people can handle the fact of death because there is no stopping it, might as well live life to its fullest.

Personally - I'm not big on religion
but I respect religions and religious people unless they try to force me into being part of their religion...or call me atheist and such

some people are scared of death because well
we're human and we almost always fear the UNKNOWN
it's like being in the dark when you were small
