Why is death so scary

The thought that one day I'll be dead and my family will die in my lifetime severely frightens me & makes me sick to my stomach and sometimes I just sit and cry while thinking about it.. Why? So many other people feel like they're "ready" to die whenever.. What's up with that?

It isnt death that freightens us but its the fear of the Unknown. Everyone has their belief of where we go after death, if afterlife exists. All religous faiths has their doubts and "wat if's." i know i do and im christian. I too am terrorfied of dying for that sole fact. All we can do is live our lives to the fullest.

It is the mystery of what happens afterward. It is a common fear, that has been around for centuries, to be afraid of something that you do not understand. It is okay to feel upset at the thought but try not to let it consume you and live your life to the fullest so that when your time comes there will be no regrets. As for when people say they are ready to die whenever, I do not have an exact answer but I do have a theory that may help. I always thought that those who say that they would be ready to die at any moment is because they suffer from a slight form of depression. They feel that they are too low in the world to where if they just disappeared there would be no effect. People need to realize is how much you are willing to risk that allows for you to move up in the world.

What's to be scared of? Certain things are absolutely inevitable. Everything that has every been alive, died. Or it will die. Nothing lasts forever.
