1 --- What is the axis of symmetry of the graph of y = 2(x – 3)2 – 7?
2 --- What are the x– and y–intercepts of the graph of y = 2x2 + 6x + 4?-2)by using the quadratic formula you get x intercepts ar
HI... I dont understand this excersises... can someone.. do it for me.. and the explain it to me please... thanks!!!!
1 ---Solve: 2x^2 = 14x + 20
and
2 -- Solve: 3x2 + 4x = 2... (this one I need t
Im looking for a graph drawer but most of them cannot draw what i want, like, x^2 + (y-1)^2 = 1. Do you know any decent one?-WolframAlpha does a fair job.

i need loooots of help thanks-khanacademy also has great references for the practice you need-purplemath.com
or http://www.mathwarehouse.com/fractions/
I will try to set the problem up as best I can. Yahoo moves the top 1/3 fraction a little over to the left for some reason. Its suppose to be right no top of the other.

I normally am giving math help around here but a student in my tutorial posed this question and Im unable to help him out. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you. :)-Differentia

1) Let X and Y be in independent standard normal random variables, and define a new rv by
U = .6X + .8Y.

b) How would you alter U to obtain Corr(X, U) = p for a specified va
I need to do some excersises I dont understand about quadratics.... pleasee helpp... :D
1) Quadratic equations that can be solved by factoring can also be solved using the quadratic formula. (always,
how can you factor
x^3-3x^2-2 = 0 ?-The only possible rational roots are +/-1, +/-2
since none of these give zero, then it does not factor.-The equation has a real root between 3 and 4 (an irrational

So...I just blanked out and I cant seem to remember how to write the algebra expression for this problem (lol...) :D
Suppose an airplane is climbing at a rate of 30 feet per second. Write an algebra

------------------- ∛(18x^4)-1) I suppose, the denominator is ∛(18*x^4)?
==> ∛(18x^4) = (x)*∛(18x)
2) Multiplying by 12*x² the part inside the cube root, it changes as: (x)*∛{(18x)(12*x² )}
= (x)
7x + 6 = -5x + 10-12x = 4
x = 1/3-7x+6=-5x+10first get xs on same side of equation by additing 5x to both sides
7x+5x+6=-5x+5x+10combine the xs
12x + 6 = 10now subtract 6 from both sides
12x = 4solve
