Okay, so I just took a math test today and there is ONE question that I'm not sure of. The other questions were medium. Okay so I got a final answer of "x>2 or x<7."(Absolute value inequalities). Now that looks like an "and" because when you graph it, it goes straight into each other. "Or's" usually go right and left. So I put no solution for this one. Did I get it right?

No. I'm afraid you missed this one.
The values for x that satisfy the proposition ''x>2 or x<7'' are Either ALL values greater than 2 Or ALL values less than 7 ... i.e. ALL values greater than 2 coupled with ALL values less than 7.
As you noticed, the graphs of x>2 and x<7 overlap. Since this problem is an OR statement, the solutions is ALL real numbers.
NOTE:
If this had been an AND statement, then the solution would have been 22 and x<7 identifies the location of all numbers that satisfy BOTH x>2 AND x<7.
Hope that helps to clear things up for you.
Be sure to get an understanding of AND and OR statements.
It is important to know the difference between them.

Assuming it is correct, I would expect at least partial credit for x>2 or x<7. It depends on what skills your teacher is looking for as students work out the problem ... btw, thanks for picking a Best Answer.

it is "and" because the two inequalities will over lap eventually so it is and.

Yes or/and No.
