With the example in front of you, ask your teacher if the statement was meant to be that there is no evidence for evolution. If the response is unchanged:1) your teacher is an imbecile who cannot read the shouldnt be in the classroom; or2) your teacher is lying either to support or appease a select religious group and should not be in a public school classroom. In either case, your parents should request a competent teacher for you.-Wow.......
So my biology teacher was stormed by angry Christian students today (In America obviously) and they would not shut up when he mentioned evolution and that humans are animals. So he told everyone to quiet down and said that there is no evidence for evolution and no evidence for creationism. Did he say this to get the Christans to shut up or what because I was pretty sure there are mountains of evidence for evolution and no real evidence for Creationism. This is in a public high school by the way

While I cannot assess his motives, secondhand, the biology textbook will have some evidence. (You can't fit all of the metaphorical mountain into an introductory textbook.) It is possible that your teacher either misspoke or you misunderstood the context. Flip though your textbook's chapter on evolution and find an example of evidence. With the example in front of you, ask your teacher if the statement was meant to be that there is no evidence for evolution. If the response is unchanged:

1) your teacher is an imbecile who cannot read the shouldn't be in the classroom; or
2) your teacher is lying either to support or appease a select religious group and should not be in a public school classroom.

In either case, your parents should request a competent teacher for you.

Wow. sucks for the teacher to get attacked, and it sucks that he backed down and gave in by denying evolution.

Yes, there is tons of evidence supporting evolution, sadly, many biology teachers don't know about it.

Typical religious fanatics. You just want them to shutup at any cost. The teacher just saw no reason to fight because he knew he was right.

-
he just wanted the Christians to shut up, you were right :)

He presumably said it to get the Creationists off his back, which is really too bad as there are mountains of evidence supporting macroevolution. Here’s a quick overview:
