Space and Astronomy question?
What are the three main sources of the gravity that holds the stars together??
-------------------------------------------------------

answers:
Clive say: Mass, mass and mass.
-
Bill say: There is only ONE Source of Gravity: MASS
The larger (more Massive) an object, the higher it's gravity will be.
-
spot a say: Mass is the source of all gravity. The higgs bosun is supposed to be the subatomic particle that gives mass to things. If you believe Einstein and his pals, there is no gravity , it is just an effect of mass warping spacetime

Morningfox say: Three? There is only one: the mass of the stars.

someg say: Three main sources? You mean the four main sources?
-
quantumclaustrophobe say: Do you mean, holds the stars together in a galaxy? Or, do you mean which holds a single star together...?

In the galaxy, the mass of the stars themselves, Dark Matter (if it exists), and the supermassive black hole at the center. In individual stars, there's only one source of gravity, from the mass of the star itself...
-
jeffrcal say: The mass of the star itself is the source of gravity.
