Besides, it was likely Not "Aliens" after all, but Earth based CIA or NSA agents conducting a kind of "hoax" to cover up evidence for a biological or radiation accident, a disease or some unethical weapons tests, that could cause panic or scandal if the public found out about it. Possibly Exposed individuals are routinely abducted and tested. Possibly by the hundreds of thousands.--(A very BIG serious deal) "Alien" dummies and animatronics are used to confuse the victims should the amnesia drugs wear off-----The victims will then tend to keep their mouths shut or not be believed if they DO talk.

Only the Government would be big enough to conduct a "hoax" on such a large scale. 2..The CIA and other agencies have been involved in unethical experiments before. 3. The "Aliens" reported, more or less look alike. If people were making the stories up, all the "aliens" would look different. Have 50 people "invent" an "alien" and you get 50 different creatures. Reports, especially before the 1977 movie "Close Encounters" (credited with introducing the "Grey alien" to the public iconology) are too consistent---suggesting the victims DID see something--the SAME thing. Consistent with there being a common source for the sightings. 4. A Earth Based organization is ENTIRELY more likely than actual "Aliens"---And only a Government would be big or rich enough to do it.
