Are black holes portals?

I believe the consensus as of right now is that black holes are giant stars that collapsed in on themselves at the end of their life. They create a gravitational pull so strong that even light is sucked in. Stephen Hawking believes that even time itself is sucked in and stops if you can wrap your head around that! But, black holes are able to grow by consuming mass, so I think that's an indication that the matter being sucked in is simply being compressed. If it were a portal, the matter would be transported to a different location.

I don't think we really know but we can guess. I have heard that they may lead to other parts of the universe and another time era but if they were portals to another time era or other part of the universe that would make them wormholes and those are quite different from Blackholes. I believe wormholes are real and out there it's just where are they and will they make themselves known to humans if they do prove to be real we would either go to a different time era or other part of the universe.

As much energy as they consume, if they opened up somewhere else, we'd see something way different than what stars show us.

So most likely, if black holes are portals, then the opening to a garbage disposal is a similar portal. Whatever goes in gets shredded.
