In people like this, the best thing is to get them a blood pressure monitor they can use at home for a bit so you can get an idea of their real resting blood pressure.I have heard that happens.I have experienced the opposite.After a scary high reading on the drugstore machine, it is not as bad when taken in the doctors office.......
For some reason these people must react stressfully at times when their blood pressure is being read and their arteries are being constricted by a fight or flight hormone during these moments.
