NASA has a spacecraft landing on Mars on August 5. The Cassini continues its studies in the Saturn system. An American astronaut was launched to the space station yesterday. What do you mean closed? Did you have a problem accessing the NASA website?

Um... they aren't closed.
The Space Shuttle program ended. As did Apollo, as did Gemini, as did Mercury. We're just waiting for funding for the next Manned program (Hopefully Orion).
