I found someone on Facebook who describes themselves as a non-conjoined twin. I wondered why they needed to say "non-conjoined." Aren't twins normally not joined physically?

Correct. Conjoined twins are attached (Siamese twins). This person on Facebook is trying to be funny.

i dont know why they said that, but they were probably trying to be funny. most twins aren't physically conjoined. if it's still bothering you, ask them about it :)
