im so confused. explain in detail, but not too mathmatical as i i wont understand it. thank you, if possible could you give an example of a question involving those, and anwswer it.......
okay, i was suposed to learn what mole, molarity, all that stuff is in gcse level, but our teacher was rubish and left that out, now i'm sturggling at a level math. what is mole molarity, and how does it tie in with dm3? i'm so confused. explain in detail, but not too mathmatical as i i won't understand it. thank you, if possible could you give an example of a question involving those, and anwswer it. thanks!

a mole is unit of measurement used in chemistry. It is defined as 6.022x10^23 molecules of any given substance.

Basically it is just a unit that can be used to compare amounts (not mass) of different compounds or elements.

Molarity is a measure of concentration. It is moles divided by volume. So it is basically telling you how many molecules you have in a given volume of solution.

and dm^3 (decimeters cubed) is the same a liters, just as cm^3 (centimeters cubed) is the same as milliliters.

an example:
if you have a solution of NaCl (common table salt) with a concentration of 1 M (molar). This means there is one mole of NaCl molecules in every 1 liter (or dm^3). as stated above, 1 mole is 6.022x10^23 molecules.
So if you have 1 liter of this 1 M solution of NaCl in a cup, there are 6.022x10^23 molecules of NaCl in your cup.

hope this helps, moles are notoriously hard to explain

I'm not exactly sure what triangles you are talking about, I never learned that. I looked a little on google and found maybe:
M
D V

This would mean that Mass/density = Volume, Mass/volume = density, and Density*volume = Mass

but like i said, im not sure exactly what you are talking about

A mol is an amount...like 1 dozen. It's hard to wrap your head around but you have to just accept a mol is a mol...

Molarity is a mol/ 1 liter....so it's the amount of a substance in 1 liter of H2O...like saying i have a dozen eggs in this basket...but the basket in this case is a liter of water

dm^3 is a deca meter cubed...which is another way of saying 1 liter (just stick w/ liters)
