Why do we no longer believe that the earth is at the centre of the solar system

I dont know the answer thought i need a fair few answers. i need to learn. this is hard for me to do as my homework. is it because scientists have somehow found out this?
i need like maybe 7-8 points on why we dont believe the earth is at the centre of the solar system.

The only people who believe the earth was at the center of the solar system were the religious nuts in Rome several hundred years ago. The Catholic Pope in Rome put to death anyone who belived otherwise. \\

Because all of the planets rotate around the sun. This is why we have our four seasons. In winter we are the farthest away,and in the summer while rotating around,we are the closest.

We have all of these fancy telescopes and what not to study our Galaxy. We can just look out and see where everything is placed.

This is soooo dark-age. I can't believe it..! Do you realize that we - America - once upon a time, about 40 - 42 years ago, actually were AN INTERPLANETARY SOCIETY..?? Yes. We were. We regularly traveled to the Moon.. our nearest neighbor in space, and we even brought along our rides.. we actually drove around on the Moon.. exploring.. and today..? Look at how far we have fallen..!!!

Just about 43 years ago - we were prepping to send the first 3 guys out to orbit the Moon. I remember watching & listening as they began the TLI burn.. the first humans to reach escape velocity.. 'Trans-Lunar-Injection' was the TLI.. and away they went.. orbiting the Moon in December 1968. Got some great video too.
