I've been looking at some photos of the moon, and sometimes they look different, like.. their features are sometimes the other way around etc..

While it is true that the moon shows the Earth only one fac e (phenomenon known as tidal locking), that face moves back and forth somewhat so we can actually view some 65% of the face of the moon.

The Moon's face rotates as it moves across the sky, and such pictures need to be taken through telescopes, which may also change the angle it appears to be at due to the optics. Not to mention the camera itself may be held at a different angle.
So it's not the Moon, just the way the picture is taken.

The waxing crescent moon grows till it is about half full in the phase we call first quarter. From there it grows to full moon and then begins to shrink back to third quarter, waning crescent and finally back to new moon.

They are from different angles, see carefully as the moon rotates averytime, so the viewing angle also changes.

The Moon hasn't changed. The photos were taken from different angles in different locations.
